Last Friday I brought you the wrap I made in honor of those affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. You can find the free pattern here.
Today I wanted to show you how versatile this pattern is. This wrap can be worn as a super scarf, as a scoodie, cowl or as a shawl wrap. One pattern, lots of different looks! To make this pattern I used Lion Brand Yarns Scarfie in the Oxford-Claret colorway. This yarn is a bulky weight, wool acrylic blend. The colors blend together beautifully; I really liked working with this yarn and will be planning other projects with it! See more pictures in the gallery below of the many ways you can wear this project!!
The summer of 2017 is almost over; once again it has passed to quickly for me. It has been a very busy summer for me. For the first time in nearly 6 years I have gone back to work. Finally healed and no longer a patient I can truly say I am a survivor!!
I have done a lot of knitting this summer, to the left is my latest project. This pretty scarf is done in Lion Brand Yarns Mandala in the Genie colorway. I have found that I enjoy knitting just as much as I enjoy crocheting.
I opened an Etsy shop this summer too, it is called Sherry's Corner Store, where everything is handmade. I just listed the Genie Scarf, you can find it at the blue link above.
I have gotten away from social media; a refreshing change, now that autumn is almost upon us I will become more active here and on all of my social media pages. I will begin sharing projects and pattern links again from a group I belong to on Facebook.
I have a new pattern in the works, I am hoping to have it finished and tech edited soon. I am going to call it "Hurricane Wrap" and donate any proceeds from the sale of pattern pdf's to the Red Cross, to help all of the people in Texas, Florida and the Virgin Islands devastated by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. I have also created a fundraiser, you can find it under the "Hurricane Relief tab at the top of the page. This is a secure site and no information will be shared or used in anyway. The pattern will be available in Sherry's Pattern Store for $2.99
I hope that you have all enjoyed your summer. What exciting things did you do? Let me know in the comments section below! See you all again soon. ~ Sherry
